OUR WORK
With plant installation a regular part of the CS GAS service offering, we recently installed a gas drainage plant at a coal mine site in New South Wales. The site, situated on difficult terrain, demanded meticulous planning and execution to ensure seamless operation. The in-house designed, engineered and manufactured plant is intended to handle approximately 5,000 std litres/sec with expansion potential to around 7,000 std litres/sec. Meeting these specifications requires careful attention to detail and precision.
The installed plant included the following components:
- Several liquid ring pumps
- A 4000 amp, voltage controlled switch room
- Low Harmonic VSDs
- Backup power system
- Extensive HVAC capability
- Seal water and cooling water system
- All applicable spool work with supports
- Civils co-ordination
CS GAS have also successfully executed the installation of an in-house designed, engineered and manufactured modularised gas compression plant for a greenfield site at a Bowen Basin satellite power station. This undertaking involved a comprehensive approach to address the specific requirements of the project.
The compression plant comprised of the following elements:
- GM150S rotary lobe blowers, with manifolds
- Forced-air gas coolers
- Knockout pots
- Control and shutdown systems
- A 400m HDPE pipeline for delivering gas at a design
operating pressure of 70 kPag
CS GAS tackled the plant installation with a strategic and safety-oriented mindset, ensuring the entire process was coordinated efficiently and safely. Adhering to stringent safety measures was paramount throughout the project.
